Last May I visited La Tourette Monastery designed by Le Corbusier in the 1950′s. I spent a day and a night there and had the change to really take in the building in all its aspects. This picture shows the entrance at the left see from within the courtyard. At the right is a concrete rain spout running on top of a stairwell. Behind the horizontal, narrow windows are the cloisters with the adjacent cells for the monks.
