The hill
Recently renovated modernist office building named ‘de heuvel’ (the hill) at the Grote Kerkplein in the center of Rotterdam. I don’t know what it is that makes these type of buildings so interesting that they keep appearing on this blog. Maybe it is the proportions or the materials of the facade or the large but elegantly detailed windows. This building was designed in the 1950′s by architect Cees Hoogeveen and the facade was renovated by LG Architecten. It is a municipal monument and it houses a number of soci0-cultural foundations.
