Crown Hall

The Crown Hall of the IIT campus in Chicago is the centerpiece of the masterplan designed by architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Large sheets of glass are placed between the clearly and delicately articulated steel frame. The lower level has different rooms whereas the piano nobile is an open floor plan, entirely flexible in use.
